Most famous of them was Alfonso Maria Olalla P. (01 July 1899 – 13 December 1971)

They were active in Amazon Basin (1922-69)

Gathered specimens of birds, mammals and amphibians in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil (estimates that collected more than 7,000 specimens of tropical birds)

Honored in genus Olallamys Emmons 1988 (Mammalia)
